REthinkthings launches 4 new products at "home 2012"

REthinkthings LTD have spend a lot of time since last summer consolidating the product range and focussing upon the most feasible creative giftwear and accessory projects to take forward. We returned from London Earls Court last night having launched four new products at one of the newest and exciting UK homewear trade shows, see details below..... REthinkthings also unveils four brand new products at Home designed exclusively for the brand by Ilsa Parry.

‘Spiral’ is a brand new to market item which offers a versatile and highly deocrative repeatable wall mounted storage unit for everyday items such as coats, umbrellas, wine, newspapers, scarves, shoes and belts etc, available in three colours.

‘Palette’, the arty party plate is a platter of taste and designed to allow the user to socialise and greet guests whilst holding appetisers as it loops around the thumb in the same way as an artists paint palette. Always seeking to reinvent the way that we interact with objects,

REthinkthings adds to its expanding collection of kitchen items with the "elbows on the table" placemats, a contemporary and surprising design sure to get guests not minding their manners...

5ml Directors Ilsa Parry and Tom Sutton will once again team up to present new collaborative work for Rethinkthings®. A new derivative of Tom’s popular ‘Wall Cells’ which will embrace the spirit of 2012 with ‘Olympian’ style.

Flo developments to carbon fibre

Through her extensive research within the programme, “Design for life”, Ilsa realised there is clear need for a product that enabled a certain market audience, mainly the elderly, to rise to a standing position in a dignified and supportive manner.

Through analysis and experimentation of the problems faced, an initial concept of “flo” was born.

Several material and prototypes ensued, developing and refining the product as time went on. Making sure that the manufacturing process played an integrated part in the design of the product.

Physical use of the working model led to further CAD developments and resulted in the creation of the rubber foot for traction.

They are now producing the main carbon fibre versions which require full testing and feedback before production. We anticipate final RRPs of “Flo” in carbon fibre to be in the region of £250 each. Your feedback or interest in product trails or partnership is welcomed.
